Each year on the last day of school, Holmes High School students participate in service projects throughout the community. Bulldogs Give Back began in 2021 as a way to

reengage the students post-COVID and expose them to the many service organizations operating around Covington.

In the past 5 years, the project has grown from 60 students and 10 placements to over 600 participating students and over 30 non-profits as well as most City of Covington departments. Students spend the day planting, painting, cleaning, organizing, restocking, packing and making sandwiches among a variety of other activities. The project benefits the Holmes campus, Covington elementary schools, Brighton Center, DAV, St. Vincent de Paul, Goebel Park, Welcome House, Ronald McDonald House, Parish Soup Kitchen, Save the Animals and many other organizations.
