Today, I have the incredible honor of officially beginning my service as Superintendent of Covington Independent Public Schools.

To the students, families, staff, Board of Education, and the entire Covington community, thank you for the trust you've placed in me. It is a privilege I do not take lightly.

As I begin this role, my first priority is simple: to listen, to learn, and to build relationships. Before making assumptions or charting new directions, I want to understand the stories, strengths, traditions, aspirations, and opportunities that make this community so special.

I believe every child deserves access to an outstanding education that opens doors to opportunity and prepares them to thrive. I also believe that the strongest schools are built through authentic partnership, with families, educators, students, community organizations, businesses, and civic leaders working together on behalf of children.

Communities flourish when people choose to build something together.

That belief will guide my leadership, and I look forward to building alongside all of you in the months and years ahead.

I'm excited to get started. Let's begin.
